If you see "Waitlist", not to worry—there are still some spots left. To keep our community safe and to foster diversity and inclusivity, we are initially placing all applicants on a waitlist. We will review all responses and admit participants from the waitlist to ensure an inclusive retreat group. You won't be charged for the retreat until you're admitted. Please note that this means that we will charge your credit card if we are able to admit you from the waitlist. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at [email protected]. We hope to see you soon!

Transmission is a community where we work to create spaces where we address racism, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, ableism, and other forms of oppression. The agreements that follow are designed to create and uphold these spaces. As a member of the Transmission Community, on retreats, events, and online interactions, I make these agreements: I am willing to practice self-focus. I will speak to my own experiences, and not speak for a group or make assumptions about a group.I am willing to practice greeting everything with compassion and curiosity, both in terms of the feelings that are brought up in me, and other people’s actions.I am willing to hold confidential things said by others in our community, unless expressly given permission to share.I am willing to understand the difference between intent and impact. I am willing to be open to understanding the impact of my words and actions, even if my intent was different.I am willing to practice skillful feedback by “calling in” and being receptive to “call ins” by community members.I am willing to try on new ideas or ways of doing things I might not be familiar with.If I tend to speak often, I am willing to practice creating space for all community member voices. If I tend to not speak, I am willing to take risks and have my voice heard, as our community is more expansive with more lenses. All members of our community come with some privilege. I am willing to own my own privilege, and understand the way that privilege impacts how I experience the world. If my behavior does not embody these agreements, or if I cause harm , I will be accountable and open to a conversation with my fellow community members. I will do my best to receive reflection or feedback with curiosity and a willingness to learn.(Agreements adapted from East Bay Meditation Center’s Agreements for Multicultural Interactions. Members of both our community and our leadership team are immuno-compromised. We will therefore be relying on each other to keep us all safe.I will wear a mask in indoor common areas during all full-group gatherings and during other times as required. I will get tested for Covid within three days prior to coming to the retreat. I will not come to the retreat if I am experiencing symptoms of Covid that have not been cleared by my doctor, or if I test positive for Covid. I will not come to the retreat if I have been exposed to a known Covid positive person within the past week regardless of my vaccination status. I will take an antigen test when I first arrive at the retreat and will leave if that test is positive (if carpooling, okay to test before getting in car and take a picture of the result).
I will be clean and sober (drug and alcohol free) throughout the retreat. I will not bring or consume recreational drugs, marijuana, or alcohol. I understand that prescription medication is allowed including medical cannabis. I will not share any prescription medication and will not use prescription meds socially or recreationally. I will abide by the retreat facility rules around smoking and vaping.
Fragrances in personal care products can cause allergic reactions, asthma attacks, headaches, nausea, fatigue, and other adverse health impacts in some people. In support of community, I will bring fragrance-free products (shampoo, body wash, lotion, deodorant, hair products, sunblock, soap, bug spray, etc.). I will not wear aftershave, cologne, body spray, etc.
I release Transmission and Positive Images from all liabilities. I knowingly and voluntarily assume full responsibility for myself and my property or vehicle. I understand there are no guarantees given or expressed to assure my safety or the safety of my property or vehicle at the retreat. I understand I am solely responsible for medical or other costs arising out of any bodily injury, illness, or property damage or loss sustained by me through my participation in the retreat. I am a responsible adult (18 years or older). I will try not to harm myself, anyone else, or any property during the retreat. I release, waive, and forever discharge Transmission and Positive Images, its Board, agents, and volunteers from all liabilities caused by actions and/or inactions at the retreat by myself or others.
